Social Events

Forge is a sociable and friendly club.  After the Thursday evening and Sunday club rides, lots of members re-group in a local pub for post ride drinks and an informal ride debrief.

In addition to the weekly socialising, we aim to organise ad-hoc social events on and off the bike to help club members get to know one another.

Trips

In the Spring and Summer we plan weekend cycling trips away or a few days warm weather training. All abilities are welcome and this could be the Cotswolds, Yorkshire or further afield to Ireland, France or Spain. All members are encouraged to suggest destinations and be involved in the planning and organising.

Girona 2022

Girona 2022

Forge London CC is heading to Girona next May to enjoy a few days cycling in the challenging roads of Catalonia.

From 18th – 22nd May 2022 expect undulating country lanes, testing climbs, technical descents alongside an explosion of varied cuisine and unique history, culture and architecture.

Isle of Wight 2022

After the success of last year's day trip Forge London is once again off to cycle round the Isle of Wight. We'll travel over on the morning of Saturday 9th July, do a loop of the island (with plenty of stops along the way) and stay overnight in Cowes, heading home on the Sunday. The route is about 75 miles of undulating roads and some stunning views.

Sportives

Every year there will be an opportunity for Forge riders to be part of a group tackling one or more of the classic European sportives. If you prefer something closer to home, there will be other members ready to tackle a UK event.

Tour of Flanders 2023

A group of Forge riders will be heading off on a weekend trip to take on the cobbles of Belgium in this Classic Sportive also known as the Ronde van Vlaanderen. Choose from four different distances: 75 km, 90 km, 144 km, 177 km and the monster 242 km.
 
The ride takes place on Saturday 1st April, so there'll be plenty of opportunity to socialise and watch how the pros do it on the Sunday before heading home.
RideLondon-Essex 2022

RideLondon-Essex 2022

A huge group of Forge riders have signed up for this new classic of the British Sportive genre on Sunday 29th May. Heading out into Essex for the first time and tackling a 100 mile route before heading back into London for the finish on Tower Bridge.
Dragon Ride 2022

Dragon Ride 2022

After the success of last year's event Forge will once again be heading to Wales for the beast that is the Dragon Ride on Sunday 19th June. Spreading ourselves across the Medio Fondo, Grand Mondo, and the aptly named Dragon Devil rides, it should be a day to remember.

Racing

A number of Forge members participate in road racing, closed-circuit racing, and time trials. We have quite a few triathletes, some of whom are competing at national and international level. Forge London is both affiliated to British Cycling and the Cycle Time Trials Organisation (CTT) enabling Forge riders to compete in races and time trials within the UK.

Our Thursday evening rides are a great way to sharpen your race skills, speed and fitness.
