Forge London CC is the friendliest cycling club in South West London based in Kingston upon Thames. We’re passionate about enjoying the ride and open to all adults.
We are: inclusive, fun, social, up for a challenge, curious about finding new roads and new places. We want to broaden our horizons, ride safely and be fit while becoming healthier, happier and maybe even faster.
If some of that sounds interesting, then come and join us.
We pride ourselves on being inclusive and welcome riders of wide abilities and experience.
What do you want from your riding? Maybe it’s to become fitter, faster, to race at national level, train for a triathlon, get a PB on a Surrey hill, break 30kmph average speed on a ride to Windsor, sign-up for a sportive or simply to lose 5kg.
Whatever your personal goal, if you want to, you can share it with the club. We want to help you get there and celebrate with you when you achieve it.
Every three months, all riders are invited to share their goal and the whole club rallies around to help you achieve it.
On Sunday 7th September, around 30 Forgers descended upon the New Forest for a day of gravel and road goodness. Meeting early in Sainsbury car park in Kingston, two vans packed as many bikes as they could and several drivers set off towards the south coast.
Sunday 23rd March saw the second running of the Tour de Forge, our way of riding together as a club. Aided by dry and warm conditions 57 of us gathered for our 3-stage, 3-routes per stage, 2-coffee stops and 1-pub ride.
In between coffee stops, cakes and after-ride beers, we asked a selection of our more than 160 members to tell us their Favourite Forge Ride, Ever – and we found some pretty surprising answers.
