What kind of rider are you?

I love outdoor sports, and I bought my first road bike back in 2017 when I was living in Barcelona. In 2018 I moved to the UK to start my new life here, and one of my objectives was to join a cycling club, which I thought it was a great way to get to know new people, discover new routes, learn how to ride on the ‘the other side of the road’ and get fitter and faster. When I joined Forge, I instantly felt like at home, it’s a club with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere!

How often do you ride?

Usually, I ride four times a week, and I join the club on Thursdays and Sundays.

Why do you ride?

To me cycling is a very motivating and challenging sport – you can get faster, but it never gets easier! And because of that, I believe it is a great way to push myself through limits I did not even know that I could. Also, riding in a group and with the club has helped me to improve my riding technique and my overall fitness.

Do you have any cycling targets this year?

One of my targets is to become a faster rider and improve my endurance and eventually prepare for a race.

When you’re not cycling, what do you get up to?

One of the things that I like to do when I am off my bike – or out of office or studying – is to travel to far away countries and discover very different cultures. However, during Covid-19, I have also enjoyed very much a road trip by car along the English coasts, it’s stunning!
