Forge London CC hit its first membership landmark this week, signing its 50th member, Karim B.
“I joined Forge after I got a recommendation from a friend. I was looking for a friendly club that would push me and help me improve my general fitness,” said Karim.
“I joined as an F2 rider and am working towards riding with the F3 group.
“Everyone in the club has been really friendly and encouraging, and there is a close community feel”, he explained.
Our new club launched in 2020, is proving to be a vibrant, welcoming and fun club for riders wanting to improve, ride in groups, get a bit faster and fitter, enjoy a more sociable ride or even step up to racing.
Split into four speeds from F1 social to super-fast F4 rides, Forge seems to be appealing to the whole range of cycling abilities, fitness and ambitions.
And it’s set to grow further, as it has been built around solid foundations. Forge has an annually elected committee of seven including a Chair, Club Secretary, Club Captain and Club Treasurer and a fully endorsed Constitution and Club Ethos. We’re affiliated to British Cycling and Cycling Time Trials and have Ride Captains for on-road guidance.
There’s also a host of volunteer groups including our Events team, Diversity Manager, Kit Committee and Online team, all giving up their free time to build Forge into the club we all want it to be; a welcoming, friendly, inclusive and safe cycling club.
Here’s to Forge member number 75, our New Joiner team is ready to welcome you! Might it be you?
