What kind of rider are you?
I’m a wee bit of everything in terms of a rider: I really enjoy the social side, exploring new areas, and I’m always pushing myself to be fitter and faster. Forge London CC helps on all those fronts. This is the first cycling club I’ve ever joined, and it’s been an amazing experience – meeting like-minded cycling enthusiasts, venturing out to new places, and helping me improve my fitness a lot.
How often do you ride?
I try to ride 2-3 rides a week, as well as commuting to work on the bike. Sometimes life gets in the way, but I will always try my best to make the Sunday group ride – my personal highlight of the week!
Why do you ride?
I ride for a number of reasons, but the main one is because I simply love cycling!
Do you have any cycling targets this year?
My fitness has improved massively since joining Forge London CC, and I am aiming to improve it further. I will also be taking part in my first ever cycling event, and it’s a rather hilly one at that…
When you’re not cycling, what do you get up to?
I’m a scientist by trade, so that keeps me quite busy! When I’m not cycling or working I will most likely be playing with/pestering my wee cat, Skye, or burying my head in a book.
