I’m not sure that I fit into a cycling pigeon hole. I try to ride 2-3 times a week, and since last year I now ride all year round. I prioritise the Sunday club ride with Forge whenever I can.
Forge London is made up of riders from all abilities and backgrounds. We have members from across the South West London area including: Chertsey, Kingston, New Malden, Putney, Richmond, Teddington and Twickenham.
We have newbies, old hands, racers, dedicated club riders, triathletes, social riders and a sprinkling who have been every one of these. The thing they have in common is remembering their first ride for a new club.
We know joining may feel like a big step but a friendly face, a word of encouragement and the chance to go further, find new places and meet great people is never far away at Forge.
So, let’s meet some of them.

I love to compete and have been racing for over 30 years across multiple disciplines, including mountain biking XC, road racing, alpine sportives, cyclocross, time trialling, gravel bike racing and triathlon. I like nothing more than riding on the rivet as they say in cycling.
I am a social rider (but I also like to push myself to go faster and increase my resistance!). I like riding to help me get fit and healthy, I do also like being in nature and exploring new routes and places.
I’m a wee bit of everything in terms of a rider: I really enjoy the social side, exploring new areas, and I’m always pushing myself to be fitter and faster. Forge London CC helps on all those fronts.
I started cycling during lock down and got totally addicted. After a few rides I was hooked. Not just hooked to riding my bike, but hooked to learning about the sport of cycling in general.
